Yolla Bolly-Middle Eel Wilderness Area, California  U. S. A.
Yolla Bolly-Middle Eel Wilderness Area is located in the Mendocino National Forest north of San Francisco. This little known wilderness location contains many interesting hiking trails and small lakes. The wilderness is the source of the Eel River -- one of the main rivers in northern California. The rough road that provides access to the trail head on the south end of the park is and interesting and challenging drive.
